1 Cup of Sugar
1 Cup of Pumpkin
1 Egg
½ Cup Shortening
2 Cups of Flour
1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
⅛ Teaspoon of Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
1 Teaspoon of Milk
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 375°
Step 2:
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
Step 3:
Mix shortening and sugar until fluffy, then add in egg, then pumpkin
Step 4:
Slowly incorporate dry ingredients
Step 5:
Add ½ cup walnuts or chocolate chips
Step 6:
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until slightly brown on edges
